India-based ReNew Energy has commissioned 750 MW of its ~1 GW solar project in Rajasthan, with the remaining 225 MW scheduled for January 2025 completion. Developed under the Make in India initiative and supported by SECI, the project leverages 90% locally made solar panels and enhances the state’s energy self-sufficiency. ReNew has invested INR 21,000 crore (~$2.478 billion) in Rajasthan for renewable projects, with plans to scale up to INR 62,000 crore (~$7.317 billion) by 2030. Rajasthan now hosts over 10 GW of ReNew’s capacity, contributing to India’s clean energy transition.
