China-based Trinasolar has secured the Bankability certificate for its Vertex n-type TOPCon bifacial PV modules from TÜV Rheinland, a global independent certification body. According to TÜV Rheinland, the certification process followed the Bankability 2 PfG 2940 standard. It included rigorous tests such as thermal cycling, mechanical stress, UV radiation, damp heat, PID, UVID, and LETID. Trinasolar claims its modules demonstrated minimal attenuation, particularly under thermal cycling, mechanical stress, and rear-side UV radiation. These findings align with 2023 results by Kiwa PVEL and the Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC) in June 2024. The certification underscores the reliability and durability of Trinasolar’s n-type modules, strengthening global confidence among buyers, procurement teams, and financial institutions.
