SR Inc and NZCB Drive 1 GW Renewable Energy with Biogen, Uber

US-headquarterd Sustainability Roundtable, Inc. (SR Inc) reached its 1 GW renewable energy target for the Net Zero Consortium for Buyers (NZCB) by 2025, enabling $1.5 billion in projects across North America and Europe. The initiative used VPPA 2.0 reverse auctions to facilitate renewable projects such as Mesquite Star Wind Farm and Prairie Solar. Over 30 corporate buyers, including Biogen and Uber, took part in aggregated procurements aimed at addressing Scope 2 emissions. Following its transition to a Public Benefit Corporation, SR Inc and NZCB set a new goal of 10 GW of renewable energy by 2030 in alignment with global climate objectives.
