US-based D3Energy, in partnership with Del-Co Water, launched Ohio’s first floating solar project. The initiative is set to offset nearly 50% of Del-Co Water’s electricity consumption at its water plant by combining floating solar technology with rooftop and carport systems. Utilizing Ciel & Terre’s Hydrelio® floating system and supported by Gardner Capital, the project is scheduled to become fully operational by spring 2024. This development represents a significant step in Ohio’s renewable energy efforts.
