Meta Platforms, Inc. has partnered with Chicago-based Invenergy through four Environmental Attribute Purchase Agreements (EAPAs) for 760 MW of solar energy. This brings Meta’s total clean energy procurement from Invenergy to over 1 GW. The projects include Hardin II Solar in Ohio (150 MW, operational by 2024), Delilah II Solar in Texas (150 MW, operational by 2025), Tip Top Solar in New Mexico (110 MW, operational by 2026), and Chalk Bluff Solar in Arkansas (350 MW, operational by 2027). According to Invenergy, these projects will feed renewable energy into local grids, improving energy reliability and benefiting nearby communities. Meta claims it will receive clean energy credits for supporting grid capacity expansion.
