Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has delayed its 3 GW solar power project supply to Andhra Pradesh, initially slated for September 2024. The revised schedule now promises 1 GW by April 2025 and an additional 1 GW by January 2026, falling short of the original 6 GW target. The delays, attributed to incomplete transmission infrastructure, have left Andhra Pradesh without power while AGEL sells surplus power on exchanges at Rs 3.5 per kWh, above the agreed PPA rate of Rs 2.42. The project is further clouded by US bribery allegations involving Gautam Adani.
