Spain-based ACCIONA Energía has partnered with IKEA to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions for Spanish households. IKEA now offers solar panel installations for self-consumption and electric vehicle (EV) charging points via its website and stores in Spain. These systems may include batteries, allowing users to store excess solar energy for nighttime use, improving energy independence. ACCIONA Energía oversees installation, maintenance, and customized advisory services. In a planned second phase, aerothermal systems will be added to expand sustainable energy options. The initiative supports IKEA’s mission to encourage sustainable living, reduce energy costs, and boost EV adoption through home charging solutions. ACCIONA Energía, the company claims, strengthens its role as IKEA’s strategic partner in driving renewable energy and energy-efficient practices in Spanish households.
