China-headquartered Huawei and UIU’s Centre for Energy Research (CER) inaugurated Bangladesh’s first Solar Energy Lab with integrated Energy Storage Systems (ESS) at UIU, Dhaka. The lab is designed to offer hands-on training and research opportunities, focusing on solar power, smart grids, and digital energy solutions. It includes a dedicated solar system with ESS, allowing students to gain practical experience in real-world renewable energy applications. The lab will offer three-month certification courses to equip young engineers and professionals with skills needed in the rapidly growing solar sector.
