In India, The Himachal Pradesh government has introduced an initiative ‘Come and Install Solar Power Projects’ program. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the initiative aims to expedite the setting up of solar projects by aiding youth and entrepreneurs. The state has allocated a total of 300 MW of solar power projects for the private sector, of which 62 MW are already operational. In the government sector, 32 MW of solar projects have been completed, with an additional 15 MW in the pipeline. This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to transform Himachal Pradesh into a green energy state, enhancing economic growth and generating employment opportunities. The Chief Minister also reviewed various activities of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL).
