Philippine renewable energy developer Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC) has signed a 2 GW module supply contract with Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage. This deal is the largest between the two companies. Under the agreement, Trinasolar will supply its high-efficiency Vertex N 720W Series (NEG21C.20) modules for CREC’s 2 GW solar capacity expansion. According to CREC, this collaboration now totals 3 GW capacity, which includes Philippine’s Green Energy Auction program. The contract also aligns with CREC’s goal of achieving 5 GW of renewable capacity within five years.
