Singapore-based TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully installed a 2.2 MW solar rooftop system for PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres, a major chocolate confectionery producer in Indonesia. With over 3,700 solar modules in place, this PV system generates around 3,250 MWh of renewable electricity per year. This installation will supply roughly 9% of Ceres’ manufacturing facility in Bandung with clean energy. TotalEnergies ENEOS reports that the system will cut Ceres’ carbon emissions by approximately 2,600 tons annually, equating to removing around 560 cars from the road or planting 39,000 trees. As part of their agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS financed, installed, and will manage the system, while Ceres benefits from reduced energy costs by only paying for electricity generated over a 15-year period, with no upfront expenditure.
