Arctech, a global provider of solar tracker provider has announced the shipping its SkyLine II single-axis solar tracker for a 320 MW solar project in Buka, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The project faces challenging weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy snowfall, impacting installation and operation. The SkyLine II tracker includes a synchronous multi-point drive mechanism that enables horizontal stowing during high winds. This feature reduces panel stress and can increase energy yield by up to 2% annually. The project is set to generate 572,502 MWh of electricity yearly, reducing coal consumption and carbon emissions. Arctech has deployed over 2.3GW of solar capacity in Uzbekistan to date, contributing to the country’s energy transition.
