California-based SolarEdge Technologies announced its first sale of §45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credits, generating approximately $40 million from US-produced inverters sold in the first half of 2024. This sale, facilitated by the Crux platform, supports SolarEdge’s US manufacturing investments, specifically in its Austin, Texas facility, which achieved 500 MW of inverter production in Q3 2024. The company’s second US facility, located in Tampa, Florida, began shipping Power Optimizers and aims to expand its production line to commercial inverters by 2025.
