BRUC allocates €1.03B to expand 3,112 MW solar capacity in Andalusia

Spain’s BRUC announced a €2.26 billion (~$2.46 billion) investment in solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Andalusia, Spain. BRUC has already invested €1.23 billion (~$1.34 billion), with an additional €1.03 billion (~$1.12 billion) planned over the next three years. This funding will expand BRUC’s solar capacity, currently totaling 3,112 MW across Seville, Malaga, Cadiz, and Huelva. The company operates 13 solar plants totaling 795 MW and is constructing 17 more with a combined capacity of 850 MW, alongside 33 projects in development, including solar-battery hybrid systems. These projects are expected to create 1,652 jobs and support local economic growth. By 2028, BRUC aims to produce 3.02 TWh annually, supplying 25% of Andalusian households and reducing CO2 emissions by 824,705 tons.
