France-based ENGIE North America and Meta completed an Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement (EAPA) for a 260 MW solar project named Sypert Branch in Milam County, Texas, aimed to support Meta’s data center near Temple, TX. The project is set to begin operations in late 2025, with Meta purchasing all output to align with its net zero emission goals. The development is expected to employ over 300 local workers during construction and contribute more than $69 million in tax revenues, with $45 million allocated for two local school districts. This initiative enhances ENGIE’s renewable portfolio of 8 GW in North America and helps close nearly 1 GW of corporate PPAs in the U.S. for 2024.
