US-based Navajo Power Home (NPH) completed a $355,000 investment tax credit sale with Basis Climate to fund clean energy solutions for over 100 off-grid homes on Navajo and Hopi lands. This sale enables NPH to continue expanding solar and battery storage projects to increase energy access in these communities. This transaction allows NPH to reinvest in further projects, with plans to power 1,000 homes by 2025. NPH’s solar solutions offer cost-effective alternatives to diesel generators, helping reduce energy costs by up to 60% for households. The project addresses the need for reliable energy access in the US Southwest, where many tribal homes currently lack consistent electricity.
