New York-based Syncarpha Capital, received Permission To Operate (PTO) for its Belfast Solar I community solar project in Maine. The project is situated near the Belfast Municipal Airport and spans 13 acres of a 52-acre site. With a capacity of 4.6 MW DC (3.5 MW AC), the solar installation is expected to generate 4.6 million kWh annually, helping offset more than 3,600 metric tons of CO2 emissions. It delivers clean energy directly to Central Maine Power (CMP) customers through Maine’s Net Energy Billing (NEB) Program, benefiting local homes and businesses with discounted electricity bills. This installation is Syncarpha’s sixth community solar project in Maine, expanding its total statewide capacity to 35.4 MW DC.
