Trina Solar, a China-based company, reports that over 1 GW of its Vertex N 720 W modules has been supplied to the Jinsha River upstream clean energy project. This large-scale solar grazing project is a part of the National Water, Wind, and Solar Integration Demonstration Base. The installation, situated at altitudes of 4,200 to 4,800 meters, is expected to produce approximately 5.1 TWh of energy annually, cutting CO2 emissions by roughly 3.74 million tons each year. Trina Solar claims that its Vertex N 720 W modules utilize advanced i-TOPCon technology, ensuring minimal degradation, high efficiency, and durability under extreme high-altitude conditions. According to testing by the China General Certification Center, the modules displayed only 1.6% power degradation after exposure to 300 kWh/m² of UV irradiation, surpassing industry benchmarks.
