China’s Arctech, a provider of solar tracking and racking solutions, signed a supply agreement for its SkyLine II single-axis solar tracking system with China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. The agreement also includes the delivery of 2.3 GW of SkyLine II trackers for the PIF4-Haden project owned by ACWA Power, located in the MEA (Middle East and Africa) region. The project is set in a desert landscape with high wind conditions, which the SkyLine II system can withstand due to its multi-point drive mechanism and a wind stow speed threshold of 22 m/s. The design also allows for flexible scaling and land use efficiency. The project, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, is expected to start operations by early 2027, generating around 156.189 billion kWh over 25 years and reducing approximately 147 million tons of CO2 emissions.
