US-based Energea, a leading renewable energy investment platform has participated in a key conference in Abidjan, focusing on Africa’s sustainable growth. The event, hosted by Bridgewater Associates and Global Citizen, resulted in the signing of the Abidjan Accord. This agreement, supported by African leaders and global financial players, aims to secure $120 billion in funding for Africa’s infrastructure and renewable energy projects. According to Energea, this financial boost is critical for Africa’s economic potential and growing workforce, projected to rise from 10% to 25% of the global labor market. The company also announced a partnership with Hecate Global Renewables to develop solar projects under its Solarize Africa portfolio.
