US-based Zelestra, a global renewable energy firm, has partnered with Malaysian industrial group OCK for a strategic investment. The investment will be through Redeemable Preference Shares. Zelestra’s Malaysian operations include the 116 MW 3SP PV project in Sungai Petani, operational since March 2022. The project covers operations, maintenance, and asset management services. According to Zelestra, this aligns with its strategy to prioritize high-growth markets, including South Europe, the US, Germany, India, and Latin America. The agreement is pending regulatory approvals. Zelestra’s portfolio spans 27 GW of carbon-free projects across 13 countries. The company specializes in developing, commercializing, constructing, and managing large-scale solar PV projects.
