Spain-based renewable energy company, Zelestra has entered a ten-year virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) with Avery Dennison. The deal is to provide renewable energy certificates from Zelestra's Spain based 44 MW (DC) Las Rozas solar plant. The plant generates 90 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power 25,000 Spanish households, and avoids 16,290 tons of CO2 emissions annually. Avery Dennison, headquartered in California, aims to reduce its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 70% by 2030 as part of its decarbonization strategy. Zelestra operates 11 solar plants in Spain with a total capacity of 428 MW (DC) and a global portfolio exceeding 5 GW. This agreement further establishes Spain as a key growth market for Zelestra.
