Malaysia-based VCI Global Limited has agreed to acquire a 1.14 MW bifacial solar farm in Novo Selo, North Macedonia, for approximately $1.26 million (€1.2 million), pending due diligence. The farm, featuring Huawei inverters, operates at over 90% efficiency and is connected to the national grid under a Power Purchase Agreement with Mega Concept LLC Skopje. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), North Macedonia increased its solar capacity from 190 MW in 2022 to 535 MW in 2023 and aims for 38% renewables in energy consumption by 2030. VCI Global has enlisted OTB Solutions Dooel Skopje to explore further solar opportunities.
