Vanguard Furniture and Pisgah Energy have installed two new roof-mounted solar projects at Vanguard’s Frame Plant 2 in Conover, NC, totaling 188kWdc. This addition includes 438 solar panels generating over 267,400kWh annually, enough to power 128 homes. With this, Vanguard now has 1,590 solar panels across three facilities, increasing annual renewable energy production from 661,900kWh to over 929,000kWh. The new system will offset 187 metric tons of CO2 annually, raising the total offset to 656 metric tons. Pisgah Energy, the primary contractor, used Mission Solar panels made in the USA for the project.
