TrinaTracker, a subsidiary of Trina Solar, has connected a 120 MW PV power plant in Dunhuang, China, to the grid. Developed by Longyuan (Dunhuang) New Energy and executed by POWERCHINA Ningxia, the project relies on TrinaTracker’s Vanguard 2P solar trackers in the Gobi Desert. Covering 2.4 sq km, the plant aims to generate 290 GWh annually, benefiting the region economically and environmentally. The project, initiated in October, was completed by December 2023, and connected to the grid in January 2024.
