Trinasolar, a Global solar product manufacturer, presented its latest innovations at PV CellTech USA 2024 in San Francisco. Among the highlights were the n-type TOPCon hail-resistant modules. The new Vertex solar modules include the 620W Vertex N, which offers up to 23% efficiency for commercial and industrial applications, capable of withstanding hailstones up to 65 mm at high velocities. For residential use, the 445W Vertex S+ module provides up to 22.3% efficiency and wind resistance up to 5400 Pa, while also handling hailstones up to 45 mm. Trinasolar is expanding its presence in the US with a 5 GW manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas, covering 1.35 million square feet. This plant will produce n-type TOPCon and PERC cell Vertex modules and is expected to employ over 1,300 people. The facility aims to cater to the rising demand for high-power solar products in the US with shipments anticipated later this year.
