Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited (SJVN) for a 460 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Project. The project integrates solar, wind, and battery storage technologies, ensuring efficient energy dispatch and grid stability. The project is expected to generate around 3,000 MUs of power and offset approximately 2200 million kilograms of CO2 emissions annually. It enables round-the-clock power supply, aiding Distribution Companies (Discoms) in meeting Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) and Energy Storage Obligations (ESO). TPREL’s renewable capacity now stands at 9,421 MW, with operational capacity at 4,515 MW, including 3,485 MW solar and 1,030 MW wind.
