TPREL installs 1,040 kW bifacial solar system at Chengmari Tea Estate with  

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has successfully completed the installation of a 1,040 kW bifacial solar system project at the Chengmari Tea Estate. Despite facing challenging monsoon conditions, the pioneering project at Asia’s largest tea estate was completed within six months and is expected to generate 1.5 MUs of energy annually for the Tea Estate. The project, involving nearly 1,900 modules, projects an annual reduction of 29,420 lakh tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting 47,000 teak trees.
