Japan-based TOYO Co., Ltd has acquired Solar Plus Technology Texas LLC. The Houston facility will produce 2.5 GW of solar modules by the end of 2025, with plans to expand to 6.5 GW by 2029. This acquisition supports TOYO’s “made-in-America” initiative, addressing US solar panel demand and local content requirements. With $19.96 million allocated for Phase 1 construction, the project builds on TOYO’s global manufacturing presence in Vietnam and Ethiopia.
