TMEIC Corporation Americas, a subsidiary of Japan-based TMEIC Corporation, will relocate its headquarters from Roanoke, Virginia, to Houston, Texas, in March 2025. The move aims to strengthen its US presence by establishing a 144,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, dedicated to producing utility-scale PV inverters. As per TMEIC, the company has installed over 50 GW of renewable energy systems globally by July 2024, with more than 28 GW in North America alone. The new Houston headquarters and Brookshire facility will advance TMEIC’s renewable energy and domestic manufacturing objectives. The Brookshire plant is projected to produce 9 GW annually and generate up to 300 local jobs. Meanwhile, the Roanoke office will remain focused on automation and large motors.
