Teraco, a digital realty company, has secured its first grid capacity allocation from Eskom. This allows for the construction of a 120 MW utility-scale solar PV energy facility in South Africa’s Free State province. The solar plant will be connected to the national grid, distributing power across Eskom and municipal networks to Teraco’s facilities. Developed in partnership with JUWI Renewable Energies South Africa and Subsolar, the 120 MW solar PV plant aims to produce over 338,000 MWh annually.
