Scanifly and K2 Systems streamline PV design with new integration

Scanifly, a Solar design software, partnered with K2 Systems to integrate K2 Quote into its PV design software. The integration combined Scanifly’s 3D solar design technology with K2 Systems’ PV mounting solutions. It allowed solar contractors and designers to access K2’s Quote tool within Scanifly, eliminating platform switching. Scanifly’s drone-based 3D modeling created precise site models with accurate measurements. The integration transferred site data into K2 Quote, selecting suitable racking equipment. A bill of materials (BOM) was generated within Scanifly, reducing errors and saving time. It automated BOM generation, eliminating duplicate work and cutting design time by 1-3 hours. The integration provided accurate site data, ensuring proper racking selection and preventing inventory shortages. It reduced errors from manual data entry and outdated imagery, improving installation efficiency. Solar contractors could access the integrated tool through Scanifly’s website.
