Trimble, a global technology company, and Vermeer have announced the integration of Trimble Groundworks machine control system with Vermeer PD10R and PD25R remote control pile drivers. The system enabled automated movement and pile driving with minimal operator input, reducing labor requirements and improving speed and accuracy on solar farm construction sites. It allowed one operator to perform tasks typically requiring two or three people and helped reduce fatigue by focusing operator attention on piling. Trimble WorksManager cloud-based software provided real-time reporting and project monitoring. The collaboration aimed to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency in solar farm development.
