The New Delhi-based Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has advertised a tender for a 1 MW rooftop PV project at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The bidding was issued on September 9, 2025, and is structured under the RESCO model within the RTSPV Tranche-III program through tariff-based competitive bidding. The selected developer is required to design, finance, install, operate, and maintain the rooftop system across designated buildings of the presidential estate. The plant is expected to supply up to 90% of the annual electricity demand, while the remaining supply will be met from the DISCOM. SECI has specified a bid processing fee of INR 6,000 inclusive of GST, along with an earnest money deposit or performance bank guarantee. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled on September 19, 2025, while online submissions close October 14, offline submissions October 16, and bids open October 17.
