India based Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for 1.2GW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects bundled with 600 MW/3.6 GWh of energy storage. The project is under the SECI-ISTS-XXI scheme. The tender invites developers to build, own and operate projects anywhere in India, with a minimum bid of 50 MW and a cap of 600 MW per developer. Each megawatt of solar capacity must be paired with at least 0.5 MW/3 MWh of storage. The supply obligation includes delivering 3 GW per MW during peak hours (6:00 PM to 9:00 AM). Developers must handle all project aspects including land, approvals, and grid connectivity. The process requires aINR 50,000 (~$577.289) document fee, INR20,000/MW (~$230.945/MW) bid fee, and INR15.93 lakh/MW (~$18394.791/MW) EMD, with a performance guarantee of INR 39.82 lakh/MW (~$45978.351/MW). Projects must commence supply within 24 months of the PPA effective date, with a six-month grace period and penalties for delays.
