Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), headquartered in New Delhi has invited bids for 260 MW of domestic PV modules. According to SECI, the modules, either monocrystalline silicon or Thin Film CdTe, will support its 300 MW project in Badnawar, Madhya Pradesh. SECI has stated that the scope includes manufacturing, testing, packing, delivery, transportation, and 0.5% (1.3 MW) mandatory spare modules. Only ALMM-listed, Class I local suppliers with at least 50% domestic content are eligible under MNRE rules. SECI has confirmed the use of a single-stage, two-envelope bidding process with an e-reverse auction. The Earnest Money Deposit is set at ₹5.6 crore (~$672,000), with 10% Contract Performance Security required. SECI has announced bids are available free for download and the bid submission and opening are scheduled for May 20, 2025.
