The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda has issued a Request for Expression of Interest on 9 September 2025 for developing up to 10 MW of floating solar capacity. The project is intended to support the 2019 Integrated Resource Plan target of 85% renewable penetration by 2035. The scope includes feasibility studies, system design, grid interconnection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operation. Submissions are due by 4 November 2025 and will be evaluated through December 2025. Qualified bidders will proceed to the Request for Qualification stage in January 2026, with submissions due in March and evaluations completed by May. The Invitation to Tender stage is scheduled for 2027, requiring full technical and financial proposals. The preferred and reserve bidders are expected to be announced in Q1 2028.
