Poland’s Energy Regulatory Office resolved only two of Poland’s seven 2025 RES auctions, awarding 16 TWh for under PLN 5 billion, with PV bids dominating over wind.Photovoltaics dominated with 126 winning bids; wind secured just three. Auction AZ/7/2025, for systems above 1 MW, had 73 participants and 98 bids. Nearly 49% of the 32.25 TWh offered was contracted, totaling just under PLN 4.8 billion (~$ 1.314 billion). This results in around 1,623 MW of PV and 82.7 MW of wind capacity. Reference prices were PLN 389 /MWh for PV and PLN 324/MWh for wind. Auction AZ/6/2025, for sub-1 MW projects, awarded 0.48 TWh for under PLN 0.17 billion. Hydropower, biomass, and biogas auctions lacked valid bids. Since 2016, URE auctions have supported over 4,900 projects, contracting 307 TWh for nearly PLN 77 billion (~$ 21.08 billion). With 160 MW gained in this bid alone, PAD RES continued to build on the 360 MW secured in late 2024.
