The Ministry of Finance and Planning of Maldives has invited sealed bids for rooftop solar procurement with a total capacity of 1.5 MW for household consumers. According to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, the tender is being conducted under International Competitive Bidding procedures in line with Public Finance Regulation (R-158/2023), also aligned with the Foreign Direct Investment Policy issued by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. Auction registration is open from 11 August to 8 September 2025 with a non-refundable fee of MVR 1,500 (~ $100). Bidding documents are available free of charge from 13 August 2025. An online pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 18 August 2025, and final bids must be submitted by 14 September 2025 through the Beelan Portal with a bid security of MVR 80,000 (~$5,200) valid for 148 days.
