The Ministry of Finance and Planning invited proposals for installing a 100MW-150MW solar power plant in the Greater Male’ region under a Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, and Transfer model. The project included battery storage to help balance power supply and demand within the grid. The detailed terms would be available on the Ministry’s website from 10th February 2025, and proponents were responsible for checking updates. Clarifications could be submitted until 13:00 Maldivian Time on 20th February 2025. The deadline for submitting Expressions of Interest (EOI) was 14:00 local time on 27th February 2025, through in-person delivery, mail, or email to the National Tender Department, Ministry of Finance and Planning, Male’, Maldives.
