MAHAPREIT seeks bids for 500 MW MSME rooftop solar projects

India based Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to select solar power developers for implementing 500 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems under the RESCO model. These systems will be installed across MSME units in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The RFP issued on May 29, 2025 allows a 50% greenshoe option to scale capacity beyond 500 MW. Developers must bid for at least 25 MW in one of four categories, ranging from 20 kW to above 1000 kW. Bidders must meet financial and technical eligibility requirements.The scope includes design, supply, installation and 20 years of operation and maintenance. MSMEs with valid UDYAM registration are exempt from EMD and tender fees. The deadline for bid submission is July 15, 2025, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled for June 30.
