Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), headquartered in Mumbai, has invited competitive e-bids for installing three 20 kWp rooftop solar systems across Karnataka. The installations are planned at Gulbarga BO-I (Raichur DO), Hiriyur BO (Shimoga DO), and Tarikere BO (Udupi DO), with an estimated total cost of INR 27.6 lakh (~ $ 33,400). An Earnest Money Deposit of INR 55,200 (~ $ 670) and a non-refundable tender fee of INR 590 are applicable for participation. Tender documents are available for download till November 3, with technical bid opening scheduled for November 4. LIC has set a project completion deadline of 90 days from the date of award to ensure timely commissioning. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have an average annual turnover of INR 276 lakh (~ $ 334,000) in three of the last five financial years. Applicants must also demonstrate prior experience in similar on-grid PV projects meeting prescribed financial and technical thresholds. The initiative is intended to enhance LIC’s distributed solar capacity and support clean-energy integration across its regional office buildings in Karnataka.
