India’s Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP), for the design and engineering of a floating solar photovoltaic (FSPV) plant. The project involved the procurement and construction (EPC) of a 110 MW (AC) plant at Kadana Dam Reservoir, Mahisagar, Gujarat, along with a ten-year operation and maintenance contract. The bidding used domestic competitive bidding with e-tendering and e-reverse auction. Online bids were due by March 12, 2025. Physical submissions had to be sent by March 17, 2025. The EPC contract had to be finished within 18 months from the Letter of Intent. Bidders needed experience in floating solar projects, a turnover of at least INR 336 crores (~$38.63 million), and specific net worth criteria. Joint ventures were allowed with certain conditions.
