Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB), a Bangladesh-based power utility, has recently issued a general procurement notice. The tender covers works, goods, and consultancy services for the Sonagazi 220 MW PV project. The scope of work includes design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 220 MWac PV power plant. The project scope also includes construction of a second circuit of the existing 230 kV transmission line. Consultancy services cover design review, supervision, and monitoring of EPC contract implementation activities. Procurement for works will be conducted through open international competitive bidding procedures. Consultancy procurement will follow quality and cost based selection through shortlisting of international firms.The project is jointly financed by the Government of Bangladesh, Islamic Development Bank, and EGCB.
