Beco extend bid deadline for Jazeera PV project Somalia

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and Beco extended the bid deadline for Somalia’s Jazeera 55 MW solar and 160 MWh battery project to May 5, 2025, 10:30 a.m.

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, Federal Government of Somalia, invited bids for a solar & storage project. The project is for designing, supplying, installing, testing, and starting a 55 MW (AC) solar power plant. It also includes a 160 MWh battery storage system for Beco at the Jazeera Power Plant in Mogadishu. The first deadline for bids was changed. The new deadline is May 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. local time. The notice came out on March 19, 2025.
