SolarPanelRecycling wins CRA Award for PV panel recycling innovation

At the Carolina Recycling Association 2025 conference, SolarPanelRecycling.com won the Innovation and Impact Award for its PV panel recycling technology in the US.

SolarPanelRecycling.com (SPR), headquartered in North Carolina and providing solar panel recycling solutions across the US, has received the Carolina Recycling Association (CRA) Award for Innovation and Impact at the 2025 CRA conference in Wilmington. According to SPR, its proprietary system has separated and recovered glass, metals, and silicon from end-of-life solar panels. SPR said this process has advanced environmental goals and strengthened the circular economy in the US. CEO Brett Henderson said North Carolina’s 9.6 GW installed solar capacity and the 2026 landfill ban have heightened PV recycling urgency. Henderson also called for national policies to improve collaboration between industry, lawmakers, and recyclers.
