The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has released the Solar & Storage Supply Chain Dashboard, detailing the Mounting Systems Supply Chain. The dashboard categorized racking, torque tubes, and trackers under the racking category. Solar mounting allowed panels to be placed in arrays and formed the main structure for roofs or the ground. These systems provided support, grounding, cable management, spacing, tracking, and protection. US manufacturing included rails, purlins, mounts, spacers, torque tubes, slew drives, actuators, wind deflectors, dampers, ballast, and more. As per the SEIA report, federal tax credits led to 26 new or expanded facilities, a 50% rise in US sites. American-made systems increased steel and aluminum demand. With a 6-12 month setup, many facilities started production. New investments followed. Expansion impacted all segments, with 26 utility-scale, 4 residential, and 11 commercial, industrial, and community solar facilities.
