Abastible, a Chilean based LPG distributor, has signed a long-term PPA with Zelestra, a Spain-based renewable energy developer for a hybrid energy project in Tarapacá, Chile. The project combines a 220 MW DC solar plant with a 1 GWh battery storage system to provide clean energy even during night hours. The project construction is underway and is expected to generate 600 GWh annually once operational, supplying power to 200,000 households.
