LONGi, a China-based manufacturer of high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules, conducted an eight-month performance comparison in Xi’an, Shaanxi, to evaluate energy yield and efficiency. The study, conducted from March to October 2024, compared Hi-MO 9 modules with TOPCon modules under identical conditions, using the same mounting systems, angles, and inverters. Results showed that Hi-MO 9 modules, featuring second-generation BC technology, generated 1260.59 kWh, exceeding TOPCon’s 1170.03 kWh by 7.74%. Single-kilowatt generation capacity was 1.01% higher, with peak daily gains reaching 1.73%. These modules offer up to 660 W power and 24.43% efficiency, ensuring stable long-term energy output. The improved performance of Hi-MO 9 modules is linked to higher conversion efficiency, strong low-light response, and long-term reliability.
LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 modules outperforms in Xi’an solar efficiency test
A study in Xi’an showed LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 modules with BC technology generated 7.74% more energy than TOPCon, reaching 1260.59 kWh over eight months.
