Canada-basedWestbridge Renewable Energy has launched its first data centre project, Fontus, in Colorado, with a capacity of over 380 MW. The company has secured the land, completed environmental feasibility studies, and initiated grid and natural gas interconnection processes. The site is located near major urban centres and a regional carrier-neutral fibre hub, offering access to low-latency network infrastructure. According to Westbridge Renewable Energy, Fontus extends its existing capabilities in land origination, permitting, and grid infrastructure into the digital infrastructure space. The company has confirmed that future updates will include information on final site design, anchor tenant engagement, and power procurement plans. The site also allows for potential co-location with existing renewable energy projects in development across the company’s USportfolio.
